1.Why marketing?
As I briefly mentioned, I operated my own business selling sofa. After listening to the complain from my elder sister "there are not such sofa satisfying 2030 girls and young moms who raise kids or toddler.", I decided to make unique sofa with ambitious frontier spirit. While running the challenging business, I got my vision 'Creating new value in the area of culture'. Also I got confidence that I could spread my vision in the marketing field. That is mainly because, as taking a role CMO(Chief Marketing Officer) in that start-up, marketing section is basically pursuing customers' satisfaction by deeply investigating their unconscious 'Wants' beyond customers' ordinary 'Needs'. Also, in the field of marketing, I felt that I can maximize and nurture my strength; analytical skills and initiatives to drive planned activity like a bulldozer.
With those reasons, I want to grow as a professional marketer to manage planning the price strategy and promotion sales. Especially, As I have built a steady interest in the B2C industries dealing with household goods, I am sure that I could make significant performance in daily/ living goods fields.

2.effective marketing?
In my humble opinion, effective marketing starts from 'controlling the price strategy that meets customer's demand'. While selling the sofa over the 480 quantities, I learned that customers showed their reaction to the product elastically based on the price. Although There were other important factors that impact customers' decision to buy or click to the webpage like design or brand, I felt intuitively price was the most powerful factor.
As you can see those pictures above, I tried to control various price changing strategies. At the first time, people even didn't click the webpage due to relatively high price nevertheless my advertisement that emphasized on high quality "Only one sofa that is made in Korea 100%". But with changing the price, customers started to react and they started to buy the items. After several times of trial and error about controlling the price, I could find the upper cost(65,000 won) that people could afford willingly. And also I could calculate total revenue sales' BEP(Breaking Even Point).
Based on my experience, though I stopped the business due to high fixed costs to produce items and scale of economy issue,
I learned that the most effective factors when executing marketing is controlling reasonable price in view of customers. Ordinarily, sellers are seduced to select the price based on their estimating or hope, but I suggest to shift their perspective and stand on the customers' sides. By doing so we can eventually understand what customers really demand and satisfy their wants.
